Taglit-birthright israel
Taglit-birthright israel is a program which provides free trips for students to learn and experience Israel.
Every summer and winter break several students participate on the Taglit-birthright israel Hillel trip from Virginia Tech.
Over 98,000 young adults from all over the world have been to Israel on Taglit-birthright israel. They come from all Jewish religious backgrounds and degrees of travel experience. All return from Israel with a great love for the people of Israel and the country.
Taglit-birthright israel is open to all Jewish young adults, ages 18 to 26, post high-school, who have not traveled to Israel before on a peer educational trip or study program nor have lived in Israel past the age of 12. The gift is open to all Jewish young adults regardless of religious affiliation, community involvement or financial wherewithal. Trips span the ideological, religious, educational, cultural and physical challenges that Israel and Judaism have to offer. There are non-denominational, Reform, Conservative and Orthodox programs.
